Components
Which potentiometer value do I need?
250kΩ and 500kΩ are common starting points for traditional single coils and humbuckers respectively, but these are conventions. Match the complete passive or active circuit. Read more →
What tone capacitor value should I choose?
Choose according to how far you want the tone control to extend its effect as it is rolled down. 0.022µF and 0.047µF are common examples, not quality rankings. Read more →
What does a treble bleed do?
It provides a frequency-dependent bypass around the volume control to retain more high-frequency content as volume is reduced. Read more →
Which treble bleed should I choose?
There is no universal winner. Pickup, pot, cable and your use of the volume control all matter. Compare capacitor-only and parallel-resistor arrangements. Read more →
Wiring Kits
Can I order a kit without a switch or output jack?
Yes. Select No Output Jack or No Selector Switch in the builder. The diagram keeps those required electrical destinations visible as existing hardware, not supplied parts. Online ordering is not enabled yet. Read more →
Can you make a custom wiring kit?
Tell us your guitar, pickups and required controls so the specification and feasibility can be checked. An unsupported circuit is not automatically available to order. Read more →
Compatibility
Do I need short or long shaft pots?
Measure the actual mounting thickness, threaded bushing and cavity clearance. Also check shaft diameter, splines, knob fit and mounting thread. Read more →
Will this wiring kit fit my guitar?
A shared model name does not guarantee fit. Confirm control spacing, mounting dimensions, cavity depth and pickup compatibility before assembly. Read more →
What pickup wire colour code should I use?
Use the verified convention for your exact pickup model. Unverified Generator selections show generic conductor functions rather than guessed manufacturer colours. Read more →
Orders
Can I place an order through the website?
The basket currently saves a configuration in this browser. Checkout and payment are not enabled, and adding an item does not place an order. Read more →
Can you help if I’m unsure what I need?
Start with Help Me Choose for a guided starting specification, or prepare a compatibility enquiry on the Contact page. Read more →
Apparition QC
What does Precision Matched mean?
The four potentiometers are selected from individually measured stock to create the closest practical resistance match available. No arbitrary matching tolerance is guaranteed. Read more →
Are your components individually tested?
Apparition’s approach includes individual component electrical checks and assembly testing for wiring kits. The Component Passport is currently a preview, not an actual record of your supplied measurements. Read more →
