Products, specifications and compatibility
We aim to describe all products, component values, dimensions and specifications as accurately as possible.
- Component tolerances: Electronic components such as potentiometers, capacitors and resistors are manufactured to specified tolerances. Actual measured values may therefore vary slightly from their nominal value.
- Testing: Where a product is described as individually tested, measured or quality checked, this refers to testing carried out by Apparition Instruments as part of our assembly or quality-control process.
- Compatibility: It is the customer's responsibility to check that components are suitable for their instrument, control cavity, shaft type, mounting arrangement and intended wiring configuration before installation.
- Product appearance: Components may occasionally differ slightly in colour, markings or appearance from product photographs where manufacturers revise production or component markings. This does not affect the stated specification unless otherwise noted.
- Hand-assembled products: Some products are assembled, configured or wired by hand. Minor cosmetic differences may occur as a result of the assembly process and do not affect their intended function.
- Installation: Many of our products require soldering, wiring or modification of an instrument. If you are unsure how to carry out the work safely, we recommend using a competent guitar technician or repairer.
- Technical resources: Wiring diagrams, calculators, configuration tools, guides and other technical information provided on our website are intended to assist with guitar electronics and installation.
- Manufacturer differences: Pickup wire colours, switch layouts, potentiometer configurations and other connections can vary between manufacturers, models and production years. Relevant manufacturer documentation should always be checked where appropriate.
Unless otherwise stated, original Apparition Instruments branding, graphics, product photography, written guides, diagrams and website content remain the property of Apparition Instruments Limited and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission. Third-party trademarks and manufacturer names remain the property of their respective owners.

- Returns: Returned products should be kept in reasonable condition and, where possible, returned with their original packaging and supplied accessories.
- Made-to-order products: Certain products made to a customer's specification or clearly personalised may be exempt from the standard cancellation right where permitted by law.
- Installed or modified products: Products that have been installed, soldered, cut, modified or otherwise altered may have a reduced resale value. This may affect the amount refundable where permitted by law, unless the product is faulty.

Apparition Instruments Limited is not responsible for damage to an instrument or other equipment caused by incorrect installation, incorrect wiring, misuse or unauthorised modification of a product, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
