Potentiometers

Resistance, taper and physical fit. Understand how a control loads a pickup before choosing its specification.

A useful reading order

Start with the potentiometer overview, compare resistance values, then separate taper from total resistance. Finish at the bench with the lug-numbering guide.

Use Signal Forge or Wiring Diagram Generator after identifying the terminals and supported configuration. Check fit and specification in Potentiometers.
