Troubleshooting

A methodical route from symptom to connection check, with useful definitions and clear limits on what a diagram can tell you.

A useful reading order

Begin with the symptom guide. Isolate the cable, jack and selector before replacing parts. Keep a record of the configuration and use the glossary when a terminal name is unfamiliar.

Use Wiring Diagram Generator after identifying the terminals and supported configuration.
